Megan Moore

Administrator & Executive Director

A passion for caring for others has always been at the forefront of Megan’s career, starting with her first job in nursing.  After many years working in emergency rooms, trauma centers and acute care, Megan realized her greatest joy was found reflected back in the smiles and eyes of her geriatric patients.  This led her to Magnolia on the Avenue where she is committed to caring for her residents.  Every day her goal is to brighten their lives, ensuring they have the highest quality of life.  When not spending time with her Magnolia on the Avenue family, she enjoys spending time with her family, her 3 horses and her 2 Papillons.

Michelle Maxwell

Resident Care Coordinator

Michelle has spent her entire career sharing her heart and soul with others as a caregiver.  She is passionate about her job and taking care of her family at Magnolia on the Avenue.  She ensures that every single resident has everything they need to be healthy and happy and well-cared for each and every day.  When she isn’t coordinating care for the residents, she is spending time with them, listening to their stories and making sure they know just how cherished they are at Magnolia on the Avenue.  When not sharing her heart at Magnolia on the Avenue with the residents, she enjoys spending time with her family and close friends.   She also loves spending time with her little dog Lucy.

Jewell Walker

Kitchen Manager

The amazing aromas that greet you as soon as you arrive at Magnolia on the Avenue are most likely coming from Ms. Jewell’s kitchen.  For over 8 years, she has been cooking up the most delicious homemade meals for our family of residents.  It is obvious she loves what she does and cares about our residents with every bite!  When Ms Jewell is not working her way into our hearts through our stomachs, you can find her spending time with her family traveling around Florida finding festivals that celebrate our State’s bounty of fruit and vegetables or with her church family continuing her passion for helping others.  The next time you stop by, ask her to make you her pineapple upside down cake!

Julie Roca is a long time resident of the lovely Alachua County who is passionate about our senior community. As the daughter of a pastor, she began working with seniors as a teenager and has not looked back. She has spent the last several years working with organizations such as the Alzheimer’s Association, various Assisted Living and Skilled Nursing Facilities along with local Home Health and Hospice. lt is her goal to help seniors to live their best life and to make a difference in the fight against Alzheimer’s. She does that currently by volunteering on the planning committee for the Walk to End Alzheimer’s, and she is the current chair of The Longest Day event for the Central and North FL chapter of the Alzheimer’s Association.
She is a wife and a mother to a blended and beautiful family of six children and two dogs (who think that they are children). In her spare time she can be found at her piano, on a kayak paddling the river, or hiking one of our gorgeous local trails.
